For the month of October, Honda is offering Dusshera and pre-Diwali discounts and benefits across its range of products of up to Rs 53,500 under its ‘The Great Honda Fest’ scheme. Depending on the model selected, buyers will be able to avail cash benefits or free accessories along with exchange and loyalty benefits.
Honda City (Gen 5)
Buyers of the new Honda City can avail benefits of up to Rs 53,500 across all variants of the mid-size sedan. Benefits on offer include a cash discount of up to Rs 20,000, or free accessories worth Rs 21,500 in addition to exchange benefits and corporate discounts of up to Rs 10,000 and Rs 8,000, respectively. Existing Honda owners also get further benefits of up to Rs 14,000.
Buyers will like the new City for its spacious and comfortable cabin and long equipment list. Keen drivers will enjoy the revv-happy nature of the new 1.5-litre VTEC petrol engine which can be had with either a 6-speed manual or CVT automatic. The diesel, on the other hand, is very tractable and frugal with little by way of turbo lag and linear power delivery. Gearbox options here though are limited to just a 6-speed manual.
Honda Jazz
Honda has given the Jazz a number of updates over the years to help keep it fresh in the premium hatchback segment. The petrol-only hatchback’s strong point remains its spacious cabin and being offered with a CVT gearbox option across all variants, though its newer rivals offer more in terms of equipment. Buyers can avail either cash benefits of up to Rs 15,000, or free accessories worth up to Rs 18,000 for their hatchback. Additional benefits include an Rs 10,000 exchange bonus along with corporate benefits up to Rs 4,000. Like with the City, existing Honda owners can get additional benefits of up to Rs 14,000.
Honda WR-V
Essentially a high-riding derivative of the Jazz, Honda has put in a lot of effort to give the WR-V its own distinctive look. As with the Jazz, the WR-V too packs in a spacious cabin, but buyers will get an option of diesel engine; however, it won't come with an automatic gearbox. Benefits on offer include either cash or free accessories along with exchange, corporate and loyalty benefits amounting up to Rs 40,150 on the crossover.
Honda City (gen 4)
Like its successor, the Gen 4 Honda City too is spacious and comes with a revv happy petrol engine though buyers have a limited choice. The fourth-gen City is limited to two petrol manual variants with only the previously available fully-loaded variants and diesel engine option discontinued to make room for the newer sedan.
The Gen 4 City is only available with loyalty and corporate benefits totalling up to Rs 22,000.
Honda Amaze
Honda recently gave the second-gen Amaze a mid-cycle update bringing in refreshed looks and some additional features. Like before, the Amaze packs in a spacious and comfortable cabin though it’s not as well equipped as some rivals. Buyers can choose between a 90hp 1.2-litre petrol and 100hp (80hp in the automatic) 1.5-litre diesel engine. The Amaze is unique in the segment to offer a CVT gearbox option on both engine options. It too is only available with corporate and loyalty benefits.
Any leftover stocks of the pre-facelift car will attract heavier benefits.
