In December 2020, one of our favorite digital designers set the car world buzzing with his interpretation of designing a Hellcat-powered Chrysler Pacifica. Although it wasn’t the first time we had seen the idea, as Head of Design for Stellantis, Ralph Gilles sketched such a machine on the back of a napkin while out for dinner in 2016. But it was Abimelec Arellano (@AbimelecDesigns), whose design continued to fascinate us.

While it would be impossible for Chrysler to manufacture such a vehicle for production, we were quite shocked that Mopar didn’t jump on the opportunity to build such a vehicle to help showcase its lineup of Hellcrate engines at shows like SEMA or Autorama Detroit. Instead, one YouTuber has taken up the challenge.
Tavarish (@TheRealTavarish), is known primarily for his rebuilding videos, buying broken, or salvaged vehicles, and bringing them to work condition. Using Abimelec’s design as his base, he will begin the build next month at the New York International Auto Show (NYIAS).
In an Instagram post on March 24th, he wrote…
“When @dodgeofficial said it couldn’t be done, I took it as a challenge. Ladies and gentlemen, we are BACK!
The most insane build I’ll ever do starts next month at @cccmanhattan at the New York Auto Show with @ebaymotors.”
It isn’t the first time that Tavarish has worked on a Chrysler-based minivan. You might remember in December 2019, he purchased the 1999 Dodge Grand Caravan that was modified on the MTV show called “Pimp My Ride”. The show featured rapper Xzibit and showed the rapper along with the group at West Coast Customs (seasons 1 – 4) and Galpin Auto Sports (seasons 5 – 6), taking vehicles that were worse for wear and fixing them and customizing them into some kind of outlandish customized vehicles.
After getting it back on the road, it was given to his good friend and fellow YouTuber, Tyler Hoover (@The_Real_Hoovies_Garage). It was then taken to Carmax for an appraisal and valued at $1,500. After it was loaned to The Midwest Dream Car Collection in Manhattan, Kansas.
As for the Hellcat-powered Pacifica, there haven’t been any official details released just yet. But nevertheless, we are just as excited as everyone else to see the end result, sometime next month. So stay tuned.
