Diesel
Initially very encouraged by our government, its future is now relatively uncertain. Compared to gasoline, it is a little more economical at the pump (around 5%), due to a very low tax applied. However, this not insignificant advantage will be amortized in the near future since this tax may rise and position itself at the same level as gasoline or even exceed it, thus making it the least advantageous fuel on the market.
Gasoline
Gasoline engines have improved considerably in performance and consumption. They are not the least polluting alternative, but gasoline engines, consuming significantly less in 2019, make gasoline an attractive alternative with a price at the pump hovering around 1.50 €.
The hybrid
The hybrid, an alternative between gasoline and electric, it allows to have a vehicle which has a fairly substantial autonomy and a rejection of Very low Co2. Electric
Electricity is an alternative that is not necessarily suitable for everyone. The electric car is quiet, environmentally friendly, but expensive to buy. The first prices are around 25,000 or even 30,000 €. However, it has a bonus of € 6,000 upon purchase and a fairly high conversion premium, and can therefore be profitable after a few thousand km.
LPG h2 >
With its reputation as a dangerous vehicle, LPG is a solution completely forgotten by French motorists. It is now completely safe, but with a thousand dollars more to buy, it is struggling to compete with diesel. The very limited choice of new vehicle available in LPG is also the main reason for its low use.
Ethanol
Bioethanol, a mixture of 85% beet alcohol and of cereal and 15% lead-free is the last alternative that we offer you in this comparison. With a price of around € 0.70 per liter, it is the cheapest fuel in the station. In 2019, it is no longer sold in concession but still available for conversion. For 700 to 1700 € it is possible to convert your gasoline vehicle to bioethanol and thus drive at a lower cost with the added bonus of a reduction of around 60% in CO2 emissions. Driving green and cheaper is therefore possible.
