Renowned for its great bars and club scene, Liverpool city centre attracts people from all over Merseyside and beyond for a big night out.
But over the years, a number of popular venues have been confined to the history books, or have transformed into a new business all together.
Some of us remember the hotspots of the past, whereas the next generation may wonder what was there before.

Using Google Maps, we have looked at what venues were around the city-centre in 2008 in comparison to 2020. From Concert Square to Slater Street, Fleet Street and Wood Street, these are sure to stir some memories.
Here, you can get a glimpse into the past and reminisce about the Liverpool businesses we have now lost or how the venues have visually changed.
