One of the best-selling people carriers of its generation, available in 5 or 7 seats, the C4 Picasso is one of the best in its class. Spacious, very bright, safe, this is one of the best vehicles for going on vacation in peace. For 10,000 €, you will be able to find both generations. The second generation, the most recent, is not more reliable, at least for models before 2015 and 10,000 € is a tight budget.

However, with a budget of between € 10,000 and € 15,000, you will find second generation Picassos, recent, well equipped, on top of technology and with better reliability. For 10,000 €, it is therefore advisable to stay on the first generation which presents no risk, except for the 1.6 HDI engine of 110 hp before 2012 which has problems with the clutch and turbo. The 1.6 hdi 112 hp and 2.0 hdi versions after 2012 are very good engines, recognized and proven. For gasoline engines, they are also all very safe except the THP 150 which has small distribution problems. In diesel fuel consumption remains reasonable, however on gasoline engines the fuel gauge tends to drop quite easily. This spacious and very bright minivan is available in 5 or 7 seats, with manual gearbox and automatic gearbox. The BMP6 automatic gearbox has many problems, so it should be avoided.

Another reliability issue only for models that have air suspension, it can be rear fatigue. It is therefore essential to check it before purchasing or to have it changed by the previous owner. (rear suspensions must not be sagging).
