Putting the Hellcat in the Dodge Durango and Ram 1500 TRX spurred a lot of memes about the Chrysler Pacifica gaining more power. Now, the Chrysler Pacifica Hellcat is actually becoming a thing, but it’s not being built by Chrysler.
The Chrysler Pacifica Hellcat is being made
One YouTube personality said challenge accepted! According to Motor 1, the idea of a Chrysler Pacifica Hellcat van created tons of excitement. However, this didn’t inspire Chrylser or Dodge to turn this wild dream into a reality.
When an unofficial rending of the Hellcat-powered Pacifica emerged, Chrysler and Dodge still weren’t budging. However, Tavarish from YouTube took it as a personal challenge. He decided to make his own monster van for his social media channels.
Tavarvish says this is the most insane build he’s ever worked on. The Hellcat van is slated to appear at the New York Auto Show, courtesy of Classic Car Club Manhatten and eBay motors.
We’re still waiting to learn more about the Hellcat Pacifica, but official details should come out soon. The New York Auto Show will take place from April 15 – 24, 22.
How much power will the Hellcat Pacifica have?
We can speculate that the Chrysler Pacifica Hellcat van will have over 700 hp and 600 lb-ft of torque. The Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat cranks out 710 hp and 640 lb-ft of torque. But these figures may vary because of the van’s different size and weight.
The 6.2-liter Hellcat HEMI engine provides the Durango with a top speed of 180 mph. This would make your carpool duties incredibly fast with a minivan. The Durango can also accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in about 4.4 seconds.
The regular 2022 Chrysler Pacifica comes with a 3.6-liter engine with 287 hp and 262 lb-ft of torque. So, it could gain an extra 413 ponies. The hybrid engine is impressive as well, with a range of 86 MPGe, but it only provides 260 hp.
It’s possible that the Hellcat van will gain a hood scoop to allow more air to flow to the supercharger and extended flares for a wider stance. We hope to see upgraded brakes and an enhanced exhaust system too.
Will Chrysler make this van?
The official Chrylser Pacifica Hellcat van is probably off the table because the V8 HEMI is on its way out to pasture. But this doesn’t mean that super-charged trucks, SUVs, and vans are on their way out.
Stellantis is working on a new series of Hurricane engines. Reportedly, there will be six new options, and one will have over 500 hp. There won’t be any hybrid options at launch, but they may arrive later.
Also, the 2022 Chrysler Pacifica doesn’t exactly need Hellcat power. It accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 7.3 seconds, which provides plenty of passing power and can be equipped with AWD. It’s comfortable, spacious, practical, and upscale.
But if fans provide a good reaction to the Hellcat van, it’s possible that Chrysler will listen. We aren’t going to count out a more powerful minivan just yet.
