What makes Citroën so successful is above all the creativity and originality that the manufacturer puts into its models. The Citroën C3 achieved 600,000 sales in 30 months from its release. The C3 aircross was also a great success with more than 200,000 sales in just 20 months! 500,000 sales: that's the number of C4 Picassos sold since 2016. Finally, the C5 aircross combining the aesthetics of an SUV and the modularity of a minivan. These are older models that marked the history of Citroën, here are the new Citroëns bearing hope for the French brand!
2020: the new features of the year!
With the health crisis, the schedule for the release of cars will be delayed by a few months. Thus, the restyled version of the C3 (inspired by the CXperience concept) will be launched in the summer of 2020. And we will also see an electric version of the utility range, in particular the Expert and the Jumper, at the end of the year. 1. Citroën DS 3 Crossback E-Tense Performance:
Here is the 100% electric SUV from the DS range. Marketed in January 2020, the DS3 Crossback E-Tense in a 100% electric version is the first electric car from the high-end brand of the PSA group. With this model, the manufacturer preferred to focus on the SUV body, to the detriment of the sedan and it has already sold more than 9,000 copies. The E-Tense version aims to revitalize sales and give a boost to the electric range.
2. Citroen C4 III and its electric version, the Citroën ë-C4:
The future Citroën will arrive a little late because of the health crisis, but its new style should bring a little modernity to the range. With its inspiration from the CXperience and Ami One concept, the C4 III takes up the idea of the Cactus phase 1 with its crossover side: half-SUV, half-sedan. It will be available, as announced after the Paris Motor Show in October 2020, under different models: 5-door hatchback and compact SUV. For an SUV purchase see our article: buy a used SUV.
This new generation of the Citroën C4 will offer a 100% electric version - Citroën ë-C4. It will be equipped with a 50 kWh battery with a power equivalent to 136 hp offering up to 300 km of autonomy according to the WLTP cycle.

Check out our Citroën3 offers. Citroën DS9:
With the cancellation of the 2020 edition of the Geneva Motor Show, the French brand has taken a heavy blow in the head. Indeed, it was the only model of PSA (Peugeot-Citroën), supposed to represent the praise of the mark at the show. The DS9 is an elegant car with its neat version, in Opera finish. The DS9 represents French luxury in all its splendor! It does not have the stature to come and dethrone the German cars that dominate the sector, it can nevertheless establish itself as a good alternative. Presented by Citroën, but having become an independent brand since 2016, the DS9 will be in the catalog of DS Automobiles, a brand apart from Citroën, while still belonging to the PSA group. While waiting for the DS9, fall for a second-hand DS7 Crossback!
2021: new features marked by the return of the CX!
For the 2021 program, CX lovers are impatiently awaiting its return! And it is done, since Citroën will indeed be offering a new CX in its catalog of new products. Something to delight some of the customers, no doubt nostalgic for the heyday of the CX, which was a flagship model of the chevron brand for nearly fifteen years! It was the car that marked the turning point that Citroën took between the 1970s and the 1980s to always seek the avant-garde!
1. Citroen C6:
While the CXprerince concept had taken its toll at the Paris Motor Show, a year later we saw the demise of the Citroën C5. The manufacturer had not replaced it until then, abandoning the range of family and premium sedans in its catalog. It would seem, however, that those days are over. Indeed, the Citroën C6, star of the 2016 Paris Motor Show will finally (re) see the light of day! Citroën executives intend to relaunch the CX range, which has disappeared for 30 years. The Citroën tradition, launched since the DS, will be kept on this model: a warm atmosphere and an adapted and pleasant driving in the city, because the French brand makes a point of honor to ensure the quality comfort of these passengers. This new Citroën C6 / CX or (Citroën C5 third generation) supposed to replace the disappeared C5 (2nd generation), will be equipped with an engine of around 225hp. This C5 III will take over the engines of the Peugeot 508 including the plug-in hybrid! Marketing should begin at the end of 2021 at € 30,000 for the entry level.
