The vehicle has a split headlight design in line with other Hyundai models. Even the previous Kona featured a split headlight design, but the new one has a sharper look. The top of the headlight features the DRL and the turn indicator, while the lower half features all-LED high beams and low beams. What is worth noting is there are no fog lamps on offer. The front bumper is also redesigned and features functional side vents for better aerodynamic efficiency. The top of the line SEL trim contrasts the bumper, giving the SUV a stand outlook. The front grill is also heavily reworked and features a split design on the top trim; it has a gloss black finish.

The wheels are completely redesigned, too; the top trim gets 18-inch wheels while the lower trims get 17-inches.
